As per the state government's instructions, this year is being observed as the year of industry and employment. A regional conference was held today under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh to discuss activities for the year, focusing on promoting industrial investment, increasing employment opportunities, addressing issues faced by industrial units, and other related matters in Indore division. Indore District Collector Ashish Singh, other district Collectors from the division, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Panchayat, relevant departmental officers, and Gautam Kothari from Pithampur Industrial Organization participated in the conference.

During the conference, Deepak Singh emphasized that Indore division offers a favorable ecosystem for industrial investment. The region provides an ideal environment, resources, facilities, and skilled human resources to establish industrial units. As a result, a significant number of investors are being attracted to the division, with commitments to invest more than Rs 82,000 crore. This investment will drive industrial growth in Indore division.

Deepak Singh instructed all Collectors to quickly identify available land in their respective districts for industrial development, ensuring swift allotment to investors. He urged Collectors to personally encourage investors to set up industrial units within their jurisdictions. He reiterated that this year, designated as the year of industry and employment, should be utilized to maximize industrial growth in their areas, ensuring that as many youth as possible benefit from employment opportunities. Singh also stressed that efforts must be made to address and resolve any problems that may arise in industrial zones. A minimum of one meeting every two months should be conducted with industrial units and relevant officials to address local issues.

Singh recommended setting up looms at every Gram Panchayat level in Burhanpur, mirroring efforts in Indore, where industrial units are being established at each Gram Panchayat level. These efforts will ensure that at least ten youths from each village can secure employment. In Indore district, under the initiative of Collector Ashish Singh, innovative industrial units are being set up at the Gram Panchayat level, and the work is nearly complete. Singh encouraged all Collectors to develop industrial centers in their districts through private sector involvement, assuring that the state government will provide full support to developers.

Rajesh Rathore, CEO of MPIDC, shared updates on industrial development within the division. He highlighted that substantial efforts are underway to foster industrial growth in Indore division. As a result, industrial units valued at Rs 50,000 crore have been established in Indore district, creating employment for approximately 100,000 individuals. Similarly, industrial investments have been made in Dhar district (Rs 1,20,000 crore), Khargone district (Rs 1,500 crore), Barwani district (Rs 162 crore), and Jhabua district (Rs 1,500 crore). Efforts are also ongoing to establish industrial units in other districts. Additionally, the construction of IT Park-3 and 4 in Pithampur Sector-7, the Economy Corridor, and Plug and Play Park Barlai in Indore are progressing well. In Dhar district, work continues on the PM Mitra Park in Tilgara, Lalbag-Basai, and Pithampur Sector-7.
