First Agreement Secured for Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor Farmers Receive Maximum Developed Land in Exchange for Agricultural Land

The Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor project has begun securing agreements from farmers. The first agreement was signed by a landowner from Sindodi village, who agreed to exchange 9 bighas of land (Khasra numbers 176/2, 176/1, and 185/3) for developed land. The landowner visited the MPIDC office with sweets to celebrate the agreement.
Farmers to Receive 60% Developed Land in Exchange
MPIDC Executive Director Rajesh Rathore confirmed that the state government recently approved a decision to offer farmers 60% developed land as compensation for the land they provide for the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor. This decision, made under the Madhya Pradesh Investment Region Management Act, 2013, and its rules, ensures that farmers receive maximum compensation for their land.
Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor to Boost Connectivity
Once completed, the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor will reduce travel time between Indore Airport and Pithampur by half. The corridor will generate direct and indirect employment for around 5 lakh people and provide affordable housing to 1.15 lakh families.
Comprehensive Development Plan
The project will include the development of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use areas. In addition, it will provide facilities such as hospitals, schools, colleges, libraries, community centers, police stations, fire stations, parks, city forests, stadiums, sports fields, smart roads, cycle tracks, footpaths, smart bus stops, smart traffic management, EV charging stations, public Wi-Fi, solar panels, and CCTV surveillance.

Farmers Express Gratitude to Chief Minister
Farmers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for the initiative. They shared their appreciation, stating, "You have given us Diwali on Rangpanchami." Chief Minister Yadav met farmers at Indore Airport on Rangpanchami to discuss the project.
Regional Development Milestone
The corridor will cover areas such as Kodiyabardi, Nainod, Rinjlay, Bisnawda, Navda Panth, Shri Ram Talawali, Sindora, Sindodi, Shivkheda, Narlay, Moklay, Dehari, Sonway, Bhainsalay, Bagoda, Tihi, and Dhannad. A total of 1290.74 hectares of land will be acquired and developed, with 60% of the developed land allocated to farmers.
Landowners to Receive World-Class Land
The corridor project will include facilities such as Aero City, Fintech City, Signature Towers, Nagar Van, and Regional Parks, providing landowners with substantial returns on their land. This decision benefits farmers, investors, and the government.
Appeal for Remaining Farmers’ Consent
The government has requested that remaining landowners submit their consent letters to the MPIDC Land Acquisition Branch at Atulya IT Park, Khandwa Road, Indore, during office hours to ensure the project proceeds on schedule.
