Wheat Procurement at Support Price in Indore District Progressing Rapidly

In line with the directives from the state government, the wheat procurement process at the support price is progressing swiftly in Indore district. Over one lakh quintals of wheat have already been purchased at the support price in the district. A total of 91 procurement centers have been set up to facilitate the purchase. The district administration is also ensuring that farmers receive prompt payments for their produce.
Collector Ashish Singh has directed that a smooth and hassle-free system be maintained to ensure that farmers face no issues during the procurement process. Prompt payment for their produce is a top priority. District Supply Controller ML Maru informed that the wheat procurement process is moving quickly in the district, with more than one lakh quintals of wheat purchased at the support price. A total of approximately ₹5 crore has already been disbursed to farmers, and the process for payment of the remaining amount is ongoing.
