Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Rural) – Phase 2 Survey: Eligible Families Can Add Their Names Till March 31

The second phase of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Rural) survey has officially begun. The names of eligible families will be added to the permanent waiting list until March 31, 2025. The central cabinet has approved the continuation of the scheme for the next five years, from the financial year 2024-25 to 2028-29. In line with this, the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has launched the Housing Plus Survey 2024 to update the Housing Plus list.

The survey for the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Rural) will be conducted at the village panchayat level by appointed surveyors, secretaries, or employment assistants. The survey process will be carried out using the Housing Plus 2024 app. Eligible beneficiaries can also apply directly through their mobile devices. The mobile application "Housing Plus 2.0" has been developed by the Ministry of Rural Development, NIC. The app link is available on the Housing Soft Portal: https://pmayg.nic.in/infoapp.html.

To ensure smooth implementation, training has been provided to all district, block, and village panchayat level officers, as well as the enlisted surveyors. The survey process will be completed by March 31, 2025. The Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Rural) was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development on April 1, 2016, with the goal of providing permanent, quality housing with basic amenities to all eligible homeless families, and those living in dilapidated and kaccha houses.
