Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Leopard movement in Sulkhedi village near Mangaliya sparks concern; forest team monitors situation

Residents of Sulkhedi village near Mangaliya reported the movement of leopards in the area, leading to concern among locals. Villagers said a group of four leopards, including two adults and two cubs, was seen in agricultural fields and adjoining forest patches during early morning hours.

According to villagers, including Tarun Yadav, the animals were spotted near the outskirts of the village close to farmlands. The sighting led to fear among farmers, who avoided going to fields alone, and also affected routine movement of livestock.

The forest department was informed after the sighting. Officials visited the location and reviewed the situation on the ground. They advised villagers to stay cautious, avoid venturing into isolated areas, and take care of cattle and children.

Officials confirmed that no human or livestock injury has been reported. They said the presence of leopards could be due to natural movement in search of food and water or disturbance in their habitat.

The forest department continues to monitor the area and has urged residents to report any further sightings immediately.
