Action Against 12 Officers and Employees for Failing to Resolve Cases on Time; 7 Penalized, 5 Issued Show-Cause Notices

Collector Ashish Singh has taken strict action against 12 officers and employees in Indore district for failing to resolve cases within the stipulated timeframe under the Chief Minister’s Helpline and Public Service Guarantee Act. During a review meeting held on the same day, Singh issued show-cause notices to five officers and imposed penalties on seven others for their negligence and failure to meet deadlines.

In his meeting, Singh emphasized the importance of timely resolution of cases under the Chief Minister’s Helpline and the Public Service Guarantee Act to ensure that applicants do not face any inconvenience. “There will be zero tolerance for negligence, and actions will be taken against those who fail to comply,” said the Collector.

The meeting, attended by senior officials including Smart City CEO Divyank Singh, District Panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain, and others, focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of public service delivery. Singh also instructed officials to prioritise the resolution of cases and ensure accountability at all levels.

Furthermore, Singh discussed the growing issue of street dogs in the city, calling for urgent measures to control the population. “A well-planned campaign, similar to the 'Beggary-Free Indore Campaign,' will be initiated to address the street dog issue, in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, and other concerned agencies,” he announced. The campaign will include sterilisation of street dogs and other control measures and is expected to last six months.

Additionally, the Collector instructed officials to take strict action against illegal bus stops in the city and ensure that buses are parked in designated spaces. He also discussed inter-departmental coordination issues and stressed that all departments must work together efficiently to address civic challenges.
