Admission Process for Government School for Visually and Hearing Impaired Students Begins

The admission process for the Government Higher Secondary School for Visually and Hearing Impaired Students, operated by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, has begun. The school is located in the Divyangjan Residential Complex, Culture Royal City Road, near Talab, Rau, Indore. This institution offers education to children with physical disabilities, aged 6 years and above, for classes 1 to 12 as per the prescribed norms. Admissions for the academic session 2025-26 are now open.

To apply for admission, candidates must submit the following documents along with their application:

• Educational qualification certificates

• Photocopy of the marksheet of the last passed class

• Income certificate (issued by the Tehsildar)

• Disability certificate (minimum 40% disability required)

• Six photographs showing the disability

• Proof of residence in Madhya Pradesh

• Caste certificate (digital copy)

• Aadhar card

• Samagra Social Security ID (SSSM ID)

• UDYID

• Bank account linked with Aadhar

• Birth certificate

For children residing outside the Indore Municipal Corporation limits, hostel facilities will be provided once admission is granted. The child should be able to perform daily tasks independently and should not suffer from any contagious diseases.

The application forms are available free of charge during office hours, except on holidays. They can be collected in person or through post. The last date for submission of the application is 31st July 2025.
