Men folks Celebrated Women's Day by Solar cooking and serving Lunch to women at Jimmy McGilligan Centre

Like the last 14 years, today March 8, 2025 Men Celebrated International Women's Day by Solar cooking and serving Lunch to women . It was organized by Jimmy and Janak McGilligan Foundation for Sustainable Development in collaboration with Swaaha Resource Management Private Ltd & Raheja Solar Food Processing Private Ltd . Both these companies formed by Mechanical Engineers from IIT Indore Rohit Agarwal, Jwalant Shah and Varun Raheja from Medicaps University ,Indore also mentored by Dr.(Mrs ) Janak Palta McGilligan in the field of sustainable development . Solar Cooing was done by all their male staff and Janak didi's associates including Lt. Col. Anurag Shukla, Rajendra Singh, Kirti Sikka, Rajendra Ochani, IIIT Prof. Rajiv Sangal, IT Expert Bharat Singh ,Dr DilipWaghela, GauravNagar, , Jeevansh, Sunil Chouhan .In all 22 male members solar cooked 22 types of dishes organic and delicious Lunch and all of them personally served all the Women started with Mrs Babita Raheja ,Director of Raheja Solar Food Co. These men set the example of women empowerment and gender equality by Solar cooking and serving women to Honour them for their important contribution of women in sustaining the family and country environment, society and economy.
While the food was being prepared, the Director of the Jimmy McGilligan Centre , demonstrated making natural and eco-friendly Holi colours made from her homegrown Bougainvillea, Palash Flowers, Poi, Parijaat flowers, Orange peels and Beetroot .She also highlighted the importance of using natural and non-toxic alternatives to protect both health and the environment.
Appreciating all the men , Janak didi shared a Baha’i quote “The world of humanity has two wings – one female and the other male. Unless both the wings are developed equally, the bird cannot fly. We all need to live a healthy and happy life with love and harmony among all of us and Nature. All men and women need to work together to bring actualise men and equality . She said that although men and women are equal, but this equality does not mean uniformity. Both complement each other, so none of them should feel threatened by each other. Both have to make the home, work place, country and the whole world a better place to live". All women and girls clapped for men and enjoyed the lunch and special Celebration ,
Veteran Social Worker, Mr. Virendra Goyal, Trustee of Jimmy and Janak McGilligan Foundation for Sustainable Development greatly praised this exemplary , ethical and environmental action by men unique effort and thanked everyone.
