Weeklong Training of Making Natural Colours for Holi starts at the Jimmy McGilligan Centre

Dr Mrs.Janak Palta McGilligan, Director of the Center, Social Worker dedicated to Save Environment will conduct a week-long training (February 22-27, 2026) of making natural colours for Holi at the Jimmy McGilligan Center for Sustainable Development .Training starts from February 22nd, every day from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. She has been conducting this training without any fee/charges every year for the past 15 years. This training is useful for personal use as well as making a Sustainable start up . Her main objective is to train people how to celebrate Holi- Festival of Colours, in an environmentally, safe healthy and joyous way. Many people will learn enjoying celebrating Holi with natural colours , as many people avoid playing with chemical colors due to fear of using them. They want to protect their faces, eyes, and throats and avoid forceful color splashes!
According to Janak Didi, Natural Holi is also one of the solutions to the climate emergency and protects the environment and people's health. It is crucial that we remain sensitive to nature during our festivals and every occasion in life! We need to replace unnatural, artificial, chemical colors and adulterated products packaged in plastic with simple, pure, natural materials and ingredients can save our bodies, minds, and money. This will contribute to sustainable development!

By playing Holi with clean, beautiful, and safe, environmentally friendly natural colors, using natural resources, and playing Holi with purity and simplicity, we can save our bodies, minds, and money. Janak Didi will trains in making dry and wet natural colors from real flowers and fruits: roses, bougainvillea, ambadi, palash, sindoor,, parijat, poi, and beetroot. The training is open to all ages.
