Special Children overjoyed making natural colours for Holi with Janak Didi

Ashish Katti the Founder of founder of Arunabh Sansthan Indore with group of 35 special students (Mentally Challenged ) came to Jimmy McGilligan Centre for Sustainable Development Centre to learn making natural colours for Celebrating Holi ,the Festival of Colours . They were also accompanied with staff, Vyankatesh Katti, Jyoti Parikh, Sonia Vadhera, Sheetal Jain, Vishakha, Sangeeta, Preeti, Kamal and Dilip . Centre Director Dr. Janak Palta McGilligan welcomed them warmly. As soon as they stepped in, the enthusiasm of the special students / children towards the beauty of nature was beyond imagination . They were excited to see cows, fruit trees, plants, flowers, herbs and feel clean air . They loved seeing up in the sky , a wind power at fast speed . They were amazed McGilligan to see water boiling on solar cookers used for making natural colours .
The workshop was inaugurated with a Baha'i prayer by Janak Didi. Among the special students, Aditya and Ashutosh chanted prayer. Janak Didi taught to prepare natural colours for Holi from flowers like rose, bougainvillea, tesu/palash, wet and dry orange peels from poi, ambadi, beetroot, vermilion and parijat flowers.
Vaidya Shaifali informed them about harmful affects Holi Chemical colours mainly the allergies of skin, eyes and throat She also told plastic packets of these colours cause a lot of pollution. Bharti Batra said, " We shoul d play with natural colours. Holi is a festival of love, joy and equality."
While congratulating Janak Didi ,Ashish Katti, founder of Arunabh, said, "All the children and teachers enjoyed and liked it very much. Janak Didi spreads the wonderful, selfless, hardworking, unique and positive energy of nature and society. The children of Arunabh Sansthan had also visited Sanawadiya in 2012 and 2019. Inspired by Janak Didi, Arunabh Students have opened an organic shop under vocational training, which is being run by the children themselves. It is a very inspiring, pleasant and enjoyable experience. We learnt how to make natural colours for Holi. Now the children will go to Arunabh and make natural colours for Holi and play Holi and make sure their family and everyone celebrates happy with natural colours."
