CBSE National Workshop on Economics Pedagogy Held at Daly College, Indore | NEP 2020 Implementation
CBSE conducts a national workshop on economics teaching methods at Daly College, Indore. Educators from Madhya Pradesh discuss curriculum reforms aligned with NEP 2020 to enhance conceptual clarity and classroom instruction.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organised a national workshop on "Developing Conceptual Clarity in Economics" at Daly College, Indore, as part of its pilot project to reform subject-specific pedagogy.
The workshop focused on the economics curriculum and its restructuring according to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It gathered over 50 educators and subject experts from districts across Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior, Ratlam, Rewa, Bhopal, and Jabalpur.
Manoj Jha, CBSE director (training), inaugurated the workshop emphasising the need for structured pedagogical reforms. He stated, "Conceptual clarity comes through structural coherence," highlighting CBSE’s alignment with NEP 2020 and initiatives like NIPUN Bharat and NISHTHA 2021.
Lekhraj Garg, joint secretary and head of CBSE Centre of Excellence Bhopal, reviewed ongoing CBSE institutional efforts and met with Daly College officials during his visit.
The workshop featured keynote presentations by Lokesh Malhotra, principal and CBSE economics coordinator, and Vinita Doke, a national award-winning teacher. They addressed curriculum implementation strategies and assessment models consistent with NEP guidelines.
Discussions covered syllabus design, interdisciplinary integration, teaching methods, and evaluation approaches. The sessions aimed to support CBSE’s goal of curriculum reform and practical classroom application.
Daly College principal Jagmeet Baweja concluded the event by noting the importance of teacher involvement in adopting educational policy changes.
This workshop is part of CBSE’s ongoing initiatives to improve teaching standards through pilot projects and educator training, creating a platform for feedback and collaborative dialogue on curriculum development.
