Indore, 27th March 2025:
Madhya Pradesh will kick off the new academic session for 2025-26 with the “School Chale Hum” campaign, which will be held from 1st to 4th April 2025. This initiative aims to encourage student enrollment in government schools across the state. The School Education Department has issued guidelines to all district collectors and district education officers to ensure smooth execution of this campaign.

The focus during the campaign will be on increasing student enrollment, especially in government schools. The state has around 92,000 government schools, including primary, middle, high, and higher secondary schools. Approximately 85 lakh students are currently enrolled in these institutions.

State-Level Event

The state-level launch of the "School Chale Hum" campaign will be graced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The School Education Department is in the process of finalizing the event's schedule.

District and School-Level Enrollment Festival

In each district, the District In-Charge Minister will participate in the district-level Enrollment Festival, which will be held in selected schools. The event will be attended by Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, and other local representatives. Free textbooks will be distributed to students attending these schools, marking the beginning of the new academic year.

The department has made arrangements to ensure that students receive textbooks at the start of the academic session. District Education Officers and field staff have been instructed to facilitate the enrollment of children who were previously out of school in rural and settlement areas. Parents of enrolled children will be welcomed at the school level, emphasizing the importance of education.

A Bal Sabha (children's gathering) will be organized in all schools for grades 1 to 8 on 1st April, with special meals provided for the students that day.

Meeting the Future Program

On the second day of the campaign, 2nd April, schools will host the "Meeting with the Future" program, where renowned personalities from various sectors of society will interact with students, serving as inspirational figures. Distinguished individuals such as athletes, writers, artists, media professionals, police officers, and state officials will be invited to share motivational stories and the importance of education. These guests will also have the opportunity to donate school supplies to students voluntarily.

District Collectors have been instructed to encourage interactions between district-level officers and students, fostering meaningful communication and dialogue.

Cultural and Sports Activities

On 3rd April, schools will organize cultural and sports activities in collaboration with parents. The goal is to strengthen the bond between parents and the school community. Educational staff will also provide information about government schemes related to school education. Parents whose children had an attendance rate of over 85% in the previous academic year will be honored at this event.

Victory Beyond Failure

On the final day of the campaign, 4th April, students who failed to progress to the next grade will be identified. Parents will be counseled on how to motivate their children to keep trying, emphasizing that consistent effort leads to a better future. The day will also include a meeting of the School Management and Development Committee, where discussions will focus on ensuring 100% student enrollment and planning for the academic year ahead.
